A Great tit

I tied a suet tray to the balcony on Monday in the hope of gaining a closer look at some of the birds. Not one was interested and J suggested moving it along a couple feet, I did this yesterday morning, nope! not even a mean look. We then placed a few sunflower seeds on top and at last some sort of activity. Once the seeds had disappeared no interest and this morning I placed a dozen or so seeds into the suet and at last a great tit dug into the slab, followed by a blue tit and then a rather scruffy looking coaltit.

These little birds are toughies, it has rained all morning and they need all the food they can get.
