Stand in the Gap

The conflict in Juba started one month ago today - December 15th, 2013. We just got an update that a small conflict broke out even yesterday -- two reported casualties to add to the thousands that have taken place over the last month. Hearts here are so heavy, yet so hopeful. We joined in with many other NGOs operating in South Sudan for a day of fasting and prayer today on behalf of the people and country of South Sudan. My heart was so encouraged as we spent time in worship, in JOYful and HOPEful praise (pictured here), and in extended intercession for this place.
