Bradford Old Bank
I saw this sign on a wall in Knaresborough. The bank was originally built in the 1880s - and it is still a bank - although it is now a Barclays branch.
Struck me that these days all shop fronts are plastic and metal and easly removable. In those days things were designed and built to last.
I like the idea of a craftsman carving all this by hand - although I suspect that the pigeon spikes are a recent addition!
