Diagnosis day

Harper was sweet this morning I put him on his tummy for tummy time and he just lay there resting on his hands. I love first thing when he's happy and chatty.

Kanye and Mar slept in again so I got a lot of house work down before they got up.

We watched a movie then I took the boys for a walk and grabbed some lunch.

When we got back we had Marleys psychologist and behaviour specialist from Hillmorton visit. They wanted to reinforce that they weren't diagnosing Mar with aspergers because they didn't see it however what they are diagnosing Mar with separation anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. The separation one is more dominant than post traumatic stress but it's there.

He's going to need a lot of help to overcome this and for a while it's going to mean therapist's teacher aids, meetings and hospital appointments, so pretty much what I've been doing with Kanye for the last 7 years.

We then got the assessment report from the ministry of education which was 16 pages long as they had to explain background history, home environment, stressors, current issues and other important information. It gave a better overall picture of him than the initial report that just involved issues identified at school.

So the rest of the day we relaxed and the boys played. I think even though it was a small outing they were tired. I had this holiday program planned and we haven't got to do any of it but in a way that's been good I think they've needed that, they've needed to just be at home, school really wears them out.
