Doha Days

Today is the Holy Day in the Islamic world.

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and the Most Merciful

is not only an appropriate quote for today but it is also printed as a full title page in The State of Qatar's Business Directory * - 15th Edition - that I found in my villa today when I was doing my weekend house keeping tasks!

My blip was taken at the nearest Shopping Mall to my compound at the end of the prayers. In many ways I think this contrast in cultures here is summed up by this blip. As my project unfolds here I will try to work out for myself whether this interface between fundamentalism and hedonism really works. In the meantime I leave you to draw your own conclusions!
