Palimpsest

It's amazing what you find entertaining when you're waiting for a train. I changed trains at Lewisham this morning, and I swear everyone on my platform was engrossed in what this man was doing. It was quite fascinating actually - he took the old poster down, then hooked the new one up onto a series of clips on a big pulley system and hoisted it up into place, just as our train pulled into the station.

Busy day at work - I just have so much to do at the moment, and can't seem to make a dent in it. Bit fed up to come home and find the stairs up to our flat completely covered in a thick layer of plaster dust - and our hallway full of it, too. The flat downstairs was sold recently and the new owners are having a huge amount of work done before they move in. The mess outside our flat means we've had to postpone a visit from my brother and his family tomorrow - but we're going to go and see them instead.

Anyway, Tim and I coped with our disappointment by going to Khan's for dinner. Every cloud....
