China Girls

So Laura arrived on Friday night from Belgrade, after missed connections and a tour of Germany. I met her in Beijing last year - we were netball and drinking buddies! She's just relocated to Serbia - so just a hop, skip and a jump (in theory) to get here. It was gone 11pm by the time she arrived, I had home-made leek and potato soup to greet her, washed down (can soup be washed down?) with some czerwony wino. Two bottles and 3 or 4 hours later, it was time for bed! Lots of chit chat to catch up on. Lots of laughs!!

This was taken some 24 hours later, having been to the 40th floor of the Marriott for two rather pricey but damn fine Long Island Iced Teas... a couple of bars and maybe five hours later, it was home time! Jean came too and held me fully responsible for any hangover that arrived the following morning. 'Never again' she has since said...but in the same breath, asked if I want to go out on Friday!

Anyway - Sunday was fairly miserable, weather-wise, Didn't see much more of the morning, but ventured out for a late lunch before LauraLoos made her way back to the 'grade; a journey I certainly didn't envy.
