Round and Round the Garden.....

For the first time this year, I got out into the garden. Just a few flowers potted and a few penstemon in the border, they do well here. It was a bit cool but very pleasant to be out there again. And FINE!

The work from last year is settling down and starting to give us the different areas we wanted. This is the view through the new arch H just put in, down the shrubbery. It has a wisteria ready to climb over it, inherited from the last people who tried to espalier it, not a success. The shrubs are not so much work as the flower beds that were a feature before.

Buddha has settled into his new spot, I like that he’s surrounded by greenery now. Should really have moved the intrusive plant pot you can see further down which is marking the spot where a new witch hazel is going, to be delivered on Wednesday. Yep, getting to the fun part of the year, planning and getting the garden sorted for another year.
