Hebe Heartbreaker for the desolate hearted

In search of something to brighten up a thoroughly dull day, this is the best bit of saturated colour that I could find in the garden – ‘hebe heartbreaker’. Even then it was difficult to isolate one or two sprigs or even to find pieces without leaf damage. In the end I chose a bit where I could darken and further defocus the background elements.
