Purple patch

When I bought my hyacinths nine days ago you could only just see the flowers tucked into the tight leaves. Now they are in full flower and filling the room with their powerful perfume. They are such an unusual colour and this was the only purple pot at the garden centre amongst the pinks, blues and whites. I'll plant them out in the garden when they have finished and they will give pleasure for a few years.
More rain falling and the water table is rising all the time. No golf again for Normous today as the course was closed.
