Stay in the Shade

It's been a 30 degree day in The Valley today, so the only thing for it has been to decamp to the hammocks down by the river at the bottom of the section. As you can see from the magazine in the foreground, it's been a day to read about what needs to be done in the garden, rather than actually doing it. It's just been too hot.

Ah well, enforced rest. I can get with that.

Mrs H opted for the bubbly option as her tipple of choice, whilst I stuck to good old cold beers. Just a couple mind... but enough to make me comfortable enough to have a snooze in the dappled light. But then with the sound of running water and cicadas in the trees above providing the necessary white noise, dropping off wasn't a problem...

It's a hard life, but someone's got to do it.
