This afternoon's rain proved too much for the drain collecting the water running down King's Stables Road. After a brief jaunt in the unwholesome ground beneath St. Cuthbert's it reappeared spurting from this drain like a round brown watery shroom.

I had actually popped into the graveyard to get more pics of dampshrooms but this was equally welcome after a complete failure to capture anyone getting splashed by antisocial buses and taxis driving at full pelt through the massive puddle outside the former Revolution on Lothian Road. Couldn't even get one of the splash without a victim (my original intention but if people are going to walk along the edge of a pavement next to a massive puddle I'm not going to stop them) so gave up and wandered on.
