Grew unhappy with a blue and yellow metal drain cover plate thing in Leamington Place so replaced it with this nice slightly curvèd double yellow somewhere in Marchmont. Apologies to treegonk and macintosh whose informative comments are now lost forever. These coloured road-markings are slightly more common and widely-understood: the yellow lines mean that residents can park three-quarters of their SUV on that particular piece of road and the red bit permits the ingress of both omnibuses and taxicarriages that they might more greatly inconvenience velocipedes.
Although displeased with my first picture I am quite happy today. No idea why; maybe my lunchtime outside-trundle mood-management system is working...
