Messing about on the river

the river Esk to be precise. Today's adventure was canoeing down the river, down a weir, (which some members did backwards!) stopping for lunch on an island, making a hot drink with a clever gadget called a Kelly kettle, then onwards, spotting deer and seals as we paddled under an enormous viaduct and arrived triumphantly into Whitby harbour. As you can see the weather was glorious. The highlight of the week for me.
