Queen Canute

A rather dull day as we went along a circular route from Nairn Harbour up one side of the River Nairn and back down the other side. Plenty to see; a merganser or was it a goosander (we had the same problem at the Green Lochan) fishing in the harbour, snow drops in bud on the banks of the Nairn and dippers flitting from Rock to rock along the river. The weather hadn't improved by the time we got back to the harbour but there was quite a swell coming in on an otherwise calm sea and this little girl was sitting on a chair daring the sea to wash over her boots!
