Quality time
Today we were babysitting for my grandson and we were trying to think of something fun to do to pass the time. Winter can be tough when you are stuck indoors with kids. They want to ‘do something’, there is only so much game playing, and TV that any of us can stand. So my husband thought of going out in search of a model to put together and paint. He thought maybe a car model that would be fun for him as well as my grandson.
Well after four different stores and a discouraged 5 year olds quickly disappearing patience we discovered that nobody sells them and getting them online is really the way to go. Therefore, it was the next best thing, Lego. After picking one out and bringing it home, I cleared the dining table for them to work on it. Two hours and sixty-eight pages of instructions later…it was complete! It turned out to be the perfect project and he played with it for hours afterwards.
I took this shot of the two of them working on it together. There was lots of talking and giggling during the building process, which was nice to hear.
