Wind Mill Corner (more rust)

This mock windmill is a landmark at Hawea Flat.

It is quite near my friend's house. After lunch today, we went scrumping for wild plums. They were dripping off the trees and all over the ground. I got 10 kg of red and yellow cherry plums. Little plums but sweet, the yellow ones almost fermenting on the tree. I like them stewed, and as ginger and plum jam. Taking out the many little stones is part of the process.

Looking up scrumping I see its actually to steal fruit but these were on the public road verge. Its a lovely word probably related to scrumpy as in apple cider.
