Left turn, right turn

Woke this morning slightly worse for wear and remembered that I had promised the family an adventure today. Also forgot that it was Father's Day, which probably explains why I was allowed an extra half an hour in bed to recover.

Cards and present opened, the picnic was prepared and we all jumped in the car. The theme for the adventure was a bit of left turn/right turn. Every junction we arrive at requires a decision on which way to go. Do we go left, or do we go right? Admittedly this type of adventure has its flaws, particularly when 7 right turns get called as this would put us straight back on the driveway! Today it was an entirely different result as we ended up on the beach at Barmouth.

Had a fantastic day digging in the sand, playing in the rock pools and eating ice cream before packing up and heading for home. The best bit for me was just sitting back and watching my boys grow up in front of my very eyes. Sometimes I think I miss this in the confines of the home environment with the day to day grind, but today I sat there very proud indeed.
