Iced in

I saw these swans while walking along the canal with my walking group this morning. A lot of ice on the water was frozen and this swan family were in a small patch of water surrounded by ice. We felt sorry for them and threw them some bread. The male broke his way through the ice to get to the bread and ate it all. The sun came out as we got back to the cars so hopefully they will have been able to get out of the ice and find food.
