Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre

I discovered this gem today in my lunch break. It's described online as "one of Scotland's finest examples of the reclamation of disused industrial land for wildlife and people. This urban nature oasis is right in the middle of industrial Grangemouth and is a haven for birds, butterflies and wildflowers".

It's lovely... not large but very well managed, with a variety of habitats. The minute you walk in, the sheer level of birdsong - in sharp contrast with the surrounding industrial area - makes you stop short. There are hundreds of native trees, over 350 species of wildflower and 13 varieties of butterfly. Well worth a visit!
