New books!

I got really lucky today when this two volume publication came into my possession. I really wanted it and it was even on my christmas list so you can imagine my happiness when it was given to me today.

As a historian I am a sucker for history books, especially the ones on the relations between Iceland and Danmark. This one is about Copenhagen in the years 1450 to 1918 when the city was also the capital of Iceland. Iceland was a part of the Danish crown untill 1944 but in 1918 we gained home ruling.
