Yep, the apple orchard. Half the class was out sick, so the other half, three moms, three teacher aids, and one teacher rode 45 minutes on a big old yellow bus to pick apples & pumpkins, press apples into cider, make a scarecrow (for the classroom), and take a hay ride. We were even treated to apple donuts and cider!

Here are some facts if you are an apple tree: you must be two years old before being planted. You must be five before you can produce apples. It takes 40 leaves for each apple to grow and when you are fifteen years old, it's all over. You graduate to firewood.
