View towards Castle Rock

If you do a search on Wikipedia, you'll come across lots of instances of 'Castle Rock' including one on the Port Hills, overlooking Heathcote Valley. That Castle Rock is well known to trampers and climbers around that side of the peninsula. 'Our' Castle Rock here in Kaituna is a distinctly more local affair - as far as I know only valley residents are aware off our very own so-named promontary.

As Jack and I made our way back home from a walk down the road, I captured this vista from the valley road (by the entrance to the old school house paddock), up the fencelines towards the rocky ridges and Nor'Easterly cloud.
