It was a thoroughly wet day and when the time approached for grand-children to be collected from school there was a curious silence.

I found myself being offered the job at short notice and was not found wanting.

It was a new experience for me and despite the rain everyone was surprisingly pleased to see me.

Mind you, on arrival home, that soon passed over in favour of other attractions.
