For a Clean Sweep
Rob, seen here, is just the sort of chap that is needed by a motorist in a crisis. That may involve his use of the snow plough or a clean up after spilling diesel on the road for a number of miles.
I remember, years ago, that his organisation was called "The Highway Board". After that I think it was re-named "The Department of Transport" (DOT)
This was then followed by a re-naming to "The Department of Highways Ports and Properties" (DHPP) It was not long before local Manx wits converted this to "The Department of Hot Pies and Pasties"
The final transformation brings us to the present time. As you can see we now have a "Department of Infrastructure"
Whatever its name I am pleased to say that we have the same people and equipment.
Mind you I don't think that even the Manx wits could have invented the Manx translation of "Bun Troggalys"
