On my way to meet some friends for dinner, I took a few shots in the City Centre, near to the relocated big wheel.

After the meal I went with Andy to the Bridgewater Hall to hear the BBC Philharmonic (including Andy's sister) rehearsing Richard Strauss's Alpine Symphony. I am not a great fan of classical music but this was stupendous. It is to be broadcast tomorrow evening, I believe.
