8am, Bay of Lopness
Oooo! Daylight at eight in the morning. What a boon. Now I can see where all the deep puddles are when I'm walking down the drive and I don't even need a torch. Stepped up onto the dunes to snap the pre-dawn over the beach. In just a few months the sun would have been up for hours by now. On the way back, I spotted the feral cat up toward the road. When I reached the front door I turned back to see a dark shadow much closer to the house. I wiped down a saucer and put out some turkey in gravy. When I looked out a bit later, the shadow hadn't moved. It occurs to me now that I've put out some cat food for my garden spade. What a complete numpty.
