A modern windmill
First Day shift today and try as I might to get a good shot for my blip..there was nothing much to shoot - also the trouble with this time of the year (which I appreciate many will be aware of and will be doing the same themselves) is that I cycle to work in the dark and I return home in the dark, which does not leave much time for catching a blip....and there is only so many still life images that one can capture and write a semi - interesting blog about...
So today's image is the sight which greets me as I arrive on station and can also be viewed from the drill yard at the back..The FMC Wind Turbine. It has been up and running since December 2011 and standing at 100m in height, it is quite an imposing structure to the west fife skyline.
I'm sure the debate will rage on for many years as to whether wind turbines are the future in regards to generating renewable energy - or whether they "will die a death" but one thing is for certain, we need to do something as regards to our energy supplies in this country as one day the oil will run out...but when that day is well I'm sure our politicians know the answer to that one!!!! Not.....
