Majestic Waratahs

Telopea Speciosissima - The magnificent Waratah grows prolifically on Shipley Plateau. It's a magnificent flower and is the state emblem for NSW. These two blooms greeted me when I returned from Queensland. The fires were raging throughout the mountains and I had come home to collect some sentimental items before heading down to our friends safe haven in Sydney. It was a wonderful site to walk outside and see them proudly displaying their spring flowers.
