The village potter

Stopped by the roadside to investigate a small handpainted sign that said Gatagara Pottery. After taking several very bumpy detours (we got lost) past small farms and coffee bushes we found the pottery.

It was founded by a Belgian brother in the '70's but is now run as a business enterprise by the village community. Beautiful pots, no two the same and none are quite symmetrical :-)
