Reflections of Boston

Wind today has dropped from force 10 to 1!!

Up early, ashore for 7.30 to do a city tour of Boston. We drove over to Cambridge and wandered round Harvard University. The Red Sox beat the St Louis Cardinals to win the 2013 World Series Championship last week and were having a parade through the city, so many road were closed. The diversions made for a different, but interesting view of the city.

Back to the city centre and lunch at Quincy Market before a wander along the river side looking at the new developments and public areas.

As we were leaving the harbour and doing the obligatory twirl to point us in the right direction, a jet came thundering over the top of the ship. I was engrossed in the actions of two blokes in a boat, who were unaware that we were closing in on them fast, until the police gave them a warning!

A completed twirl gave us a view of Logan Airport and the planes landing. The passengers on the right hand side of the plane will have had good views of us!!
