You're Killing Me Smalls

By janewayoda

It's only a laundrymat.

But is it? For me it's a bit more than just the place I've washed and dried our clothes every week since we've lived here. I went from a woman reading a book, drinking coffee and doing my best to ignore everyone to the crazy lady with frazzled hair chasing her toddler around the building and politely declining kind strangers offers of assistance with my laundry. This laundrymat has been a weekly reminder of how my son has grown and how I've changed as a person. But I've no time for emotions got to get the clothes into the dryer.
