One of the great mysteries of the universe..

I don't get it..

We can build an enormous, underground machine that accelerates atomic particles to shed light on the origins of the universe, ..and we can build a space probe that can lie dormant in space for almost three years until communications from earth cause it to be 'woken up', ready to hop onto the back of a passing comet.. but can mankind create the 'omni-remote' ..a single device to control the TV and audio equipment?? Seemingly not!

I don't understand why we have so many remote controls in the house? I don't know what half of them do.. and they all seem to have way too many buttons on them! I'm also sure at least one of these controls is for a piece of equipment we don't even own anymore!

Another long day of working but the job that needed finishing for tomorrow is nearly done. Off to make dinner and then I am going to take on the remote-control challenge and see if I can watch a film. :-)
