Squirrel Tracks and Snow Shadows

A composite blip, since I had two excellent images.

The top one was taken just after noon, in back of our house--I adore the shadows of trees. The second image is from early afternoon; it had turned cloudy. This is just a portion of these tracks, which I don't recall ever having seen before, and for a short while they baffled me. But they can only be from a squirrel hopping across the snow. Really marvelous, I think.
