Being The One
This is a painting by Emile Bellet. It is one of two that I fell in love with on the Thanksgiving cruise I just took last year. As described by Park West Gallery, who has exclusive rights to his art, "The familiar female figure used throughout his work is symbolic of his impression of femininity. She represents all women and for this reason has no facial expression. She is timeless, ageless, and universal."
Her ephemeral beauty spoke to me, yet being faceless allowed her to represent everything that defines your "ideal" woman, i.e. she IS "the one", whoever that may be to you. In my case, she is an image of me, BEING the one for my special someone :)
Now if he will just come to me!
