Birthday Eve / Off The Wagon

Ann's birthday eve, and we had the main celebration a day early with a night at a local hotel, including the 'James Martin Gourmet Experience' (very, very nice).

Also – the first drop of booze for either of us for three whole weeks. First glass kind of went to our heads it has to be said... lost the resilience that I'd evidently built up over the festive season (good!). Following the afternoon champers, the meal had a selection of wines to accompany the specific courses, and a rhubarb vodka at one point. So we seem to have cartwheeled off the wagon in style!
