Monday Club

On the last Monday in the month the ladies of the badminton club join forces with the ladies of the bridge club for a social get-together. There is usually a speaker who gives an interesting talk, followed by copious amounts of tea and a fine spread of sandwiches and home baking.

Today we were treated to a slide show of magnificent photos taken by a keen amateur photographer who has travelled extensively in every continent. She started with flowers, then moved onto insects, birds, cute little creatures, wild animals and finished with some wonderful scenery. Her commentary was clearly and wittily delivered. It was enjoyed by all the ladies.

So was the afternoon tea.

PS I asked the presenter if she was a blipper, but she had never heard of Blip. Tut tut.
