A better story . . .
. . . than a photograph.
There used to roam in this area a sub-species of zebra called a quagga (the two gg's have a sort-of growling sound). They were hunted to extinction around the 1880's but with new DNA technology (and I think some actual DNA from a stuffed museum animal), attempts are being made to establish a selective breeding program on a nearby farm. As can be seen in this image, in contrast to the normal zebra, the distinctive unstriped hindquarters are starting to emerge. Very exciting - back from the dead.
Imagine if we could do that with dinosaurs.
Well, maybe not.
