After-bath shake

Sam doesn't seem to mind being bathed, but the antics that follow!!
The glares, the shakes, the ploughing of nose into the grass, the dashing around as if all Hades were two steps behind. As if the water were some malignant thing that had to be violently cast off.
This lasts a couple of minutes and then he collapses into an exhausted and, often, muddy heap.
One wonders why one bothers.
