Geneva!

The view from the airplane was stunning as our plane descended to land in Geneva.

We were on rail for the rest of the trip to Zermatt. The first train was through the foothills and valleys, through several towns and stops as well as past lakes and vineyards. Beautiful! We transferred at Vist and from there we ascended high into the Alps, from the green valleys into the snow covered mountains. All along the route little villages dotted the mountain side. The views from the train were also breathtaking.
