A whole lot of soul

No matter what I did today, my blip was always going to be this.

Coming home from Pitlochry, I spent a nice few hours in Perth shopping and then an old chum I haven't seen for a while turned up unexpectedly for coffee when I got home.

But, this evening, I spent an hour and a half in the company of Bobby Womack. A real life soul legend. Almost close enough to touch! Boy, did he sound smooth. With a first class band and a vocal range anyone would envy - let alone someone about to turn 70 - it was a musical night to remember.
