Picnic at Point Pilcher!

Point Pilcher is a pretty well kept secret in the Blue Mountains. I was astonished when CCN confessed that she had never been there. We decided to go out for a "Picnic Lunch" today. It was a magnificent day in the Blue Mountains and I believe this image really sums up why we all love it so much. We were the only people there today and it was so peaceful and serene.
I really encourage you to view the large version.

To reach this point you drive along a dirt track for about 7 kilometres from the highway and for almost the entire drive you cannot see any views at all. It's almost a shock when you reach the end to see this vista.

From here you are looking into the Grose Valley towards, Evans Lookout, Pulpit Rock and Mount Banks. One of the most challenging bush tracks in Australia is below you where hikers walk into the Blue Gum Forest.

There's no doubt that we will return to Point Pilcher very soon, I can't wait to take an image at sunset!!
