READY TO BE BAGGED

The "Hanepoot" grapes have been bagged and Jakob has asked for 15 more bags to bag the black grapes. We think that they may be "Alphonse Duval" Not sure as we did not plant them.
The muslin bags protect the grapes from the ravenous starlings and mouse birds. I have devised a technique to get rid of the birds by banging two planks together, simulating the sound of a pellet gun.
Bagged grapes will hang on the vine for months. Last winter when we started pruning the vines, we found a bunch of grapes in perfect condition, sweet and juicy.
