moon shadow

I was up and out of the house early this morning. It was cold and dark and icy, but that didn't matter when I looked up and saw the moon. While the car warmed up and defrosted, I slipped out and took a few quick handheld shots (at ISO 4000) of this beautiful sky, with the fullness of the moon just visible behind the bright crescent.

A moment of wonder, tucked almost imperceptibly into what otherwise would seem like another ordinary day.
