Keep paddling

It was a quiet, grey sort of a day in Gateshead. I got a photo of a kestrel sitting on one of the Tyne Bridge towers - but slightly out of focus. :-(

Just before I left the house this morning I had seen the news of Pete Seeger's death and Mr H reminded me that I still have my original copy of "Play the 5 string banjo". It contains only about a page on double thumbing and a page on frailing - but apart from a few different tuning possibilities from Messrs Simpson and Adams, it turned out to be all I needed.
