All tracks meet here

Today was not only cold (-13) but also VERY windy. There was a lot of snow in the air, some of it falling from the sky but most of it blowing down from the trees.
We spent a lot of time on breakfast and being sociable but eventually decided it was time to get out into the weather. Five opted for the downhill slopes and four of us decided to cross-country ski. BJ and the Norwegian headed off for the waffle cottage up on the mountain but we decided to stay down in the forest on the lower tracks. We skied for about two hours and then decided that was enough for the moment.
I took this picture at the focal point of the tracks. All of them start from this point and you decide how far you want to go, and if you want to go onto the mountain or stay in the forest. Then you choose which track to follow accordingly.
One of the things I like about this picture is that it shows cross-country skiing is for all. Most of the people in the picture are over 50 and they are not super-fit sportspeople. They are just ordinary people out for a bit of fresh-air.
When we got back to the cottage all the downhill skiers were back, and the sauna was on. That was it for the outdoors part of the day.
PS the big blue machine created the double tracks we ski in if we use traditional techniques.
