A bit of Colour (on a grey day)
Well it was almost another tree blip, complete with stormy clouds, but at the last minute I decided to get the studio lights out and produce something more colourful.
I knew those daffs would come in useful again.
Technical. A 90 cm light box to the right of the flower about 50 cm away. I also had a reflector to the left to fill in shadow detail. This is a focus stack, probably overkill with 13 images. I had to underexpose slightly to maintain detail in the brighter yellow areas. Processed in Helicon Focus and then transferred into Photoshop to create a black and white luminostiy layer in Silver Efex Pro to further help with detail in the petals. Finally, darkened the background and a touch of sharpening.
