Last day of PICU!

Today was my last day in the PICU and I have to say that I am excited about it. It was a decent rotation, the hours were great and the people were really nice. I didn't really learn that much but I did the best I could with what I was working with. It was super sad at times and other times was early exciting. I think I could see myself working in an ICU, though I feel like half of their management isn't necessarily medical, but more like advancing feeds and managing diuretics. That is super boring to me, but maybe the rest of it outweighs some of the boring management pieces. Plus seeing super sick kids get better is always a wonderful blessing. The parents we beyond grateful and it makes you feel like you might be making a difference every day. Who knows, we will see what the future holds on the job front.

Tonight we rent to group and it went well. For some reason our group isn't jelling as well as I thought we would, but tonight might have been a little bit of a turn around. We are finally getting into some real material and I think that is going to be good for us. There are a lot of good issues to bring up in the book called Real Marriage by Marc Driscoll. Tonight was just the intro but it gave us the opportunity to talk about and uncover some good stuff. There are still a lot of things that I am struggling with on a personal level, but being in a group full of wise people is a great way to hear what The Lord is trying to tell you.
