January Challenge - Assortment (R.I.P Pete Seeger)
Day 28 of DDW's January daily challenge - Assortment
I'm beginning to feel old, for the second time this month I'm doing a tribute blip. Pete Seeger was one of those rare modern musicians whose songs were better known than he was, and whose songs managed to move many people, while disturbing governments.
How do you combine one of his songs (Turn, turn, turn, Where have all the flowers gone?, If I had a hammer, Little Boxes) with the theme of assortment?, Lots of roundabouts for turn, turn, turn?, no. A selection of hammers? no. A modern housing estate?, not near enough in my lunch hour, so another no. At this time of year it would be easy to do an empty flower-bed for Where have all the flowers gone, but a patch of muddy ground isn't too photogenic, or obviously waiting for flowers to burst out in spring, neither does it contain much of an assortment, so a flower stall in the little market in Chiswick with a lot of greenery but rather fewer flowers, though still an assortment of plants.
