Sunset at Point Pilcher
Well we just couldn't help ourselves. We decided to sneak out to Point Pilcher again tonight to see the contrast between an image taken at midday yesterday and one taken closer to sunset. I need to point out that the sun was setting in the West behind us and the highlight of this location is to see the colour changing on the escarpments on the Eastern side of the valley.
It was just magnificent out there and of we were happy waiting for the sun to set, mainly because we had a lovely bottle of bubbly and some great cheese and bikkies to keep us company!
It was just amazing to sit and watch as the shadows started creeping up the side of the valley at what looked like "walking pace". Todays image was taken to highlight the extraordinary Mount Banks. The colours were fantastic and were constantly changing. It was a great exercise and we both agreed we learnt a lot from the experience.
